PICO SOUND SYSTEM

We made the graphics for the first European Picò. A sound system that has his origins in Colombia, where it broke out as a change revolution of the community identity. The aesthetic of the “classic” Picò is distruptive, colorful, handcrafted, to some extent trashy and tacky. What characterize them extent at a first sight are the decorations that represent iconic characters, symbols of power, outlaws, folk heroes, myths. The First European Picò (made in Italy) found its idolatrous representation in Maradona. The history of graphic design has always strongly linked to the history of music. Peter Saville adapted his visual arts to the atmospheres of the records he worked on. We have tried to do the same through, trying to give an European and Neapolitan identity whithout distancing ourselves from the origins of the sound system and our graphic vision.
